Adult Confirmation Process

Confirmation for Adult Catholics in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is celebrated around the feast of the Baptism of the Lord and the Solemnity of Pentecost.

Eligible participants are practicing or returning Catholics who are:

• over the age of 18 and no longer in high school

• baptized and have received First Holy Communion

• (if married) received the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony according to the norms of the Catholic Church

Adult Confirmation preparation will include presenting a current record of your baptism (dated within the last 3 months), choosing an eligible sponsor, completing of the required paperwork and interview, and participation in the required preparation sessions.
